As Covid-19 cases are rising once again with new variants affecting more citizens, the government needs all the help from the private sector to ensure that the best protection — vaccination — will reach the majority as soon as possible.
One of the staunch supporters of this vaccination drive is Ever Mall with its “I Love My Jab” CSR campaign — making 100 percent of its employees and majority of its merchants vaccinated.
“We are optimistic that we can achieve herd immunity at the soonest time as we fight this virus together with the QC Government,” said Chie Arao Santos, head of Corporate Marketing of Ever Mall. “At Ever, we did not only provide a convenient venue for vaccination to QC residents, we are all fully vaccinated and ready to serve everyone even better.”
Aside from the venue, Ever Mall’s role is to also inform every one of the need to have their jabs at the soonest time possible. A jab is not only a personal responsibility to keep your families safe but will also help businesses safely open with fully vaccinated personnel, such as Ever Mall as it is highlighting its #EVERSafeShopping.
Since June, the Operations and Marketing Departments of Ever Mall have been closely coordinating with QC Protektodo. The smooth and organized implementation of the vaccination program is headed by Ronelo Alvarez, Mall Manager of Ever Commonwealth, and Thea Santayana, Assistant Mall Marketing Manager.
“On the part of the mall, we have ensured and prioritized the safety and convenience of our customers on their vaccination day,” Alvarez said. “We have placed a proper and orderly system, right at the start when the customer enters the mall, up to the moment that he or she takes the jab.”
More vaccination events are planned to help expedite the administration of Covid-19 vaccines to help curb the spread of the virus and achieve herd immunity. The QC government, led by Mayor Joy Belmonte and coordinated through Margarita Santos, BPLD Head, supplied the vaccines and supervised the campaign.
“We have assisted the QC LGU (local government unit) in disseminating the information on schedules and latest advisories through our networks and via social media. We also have encouraged our merchants to do promotions on anything vaccine-related so more people would take the jab,” Santayana said. “The idea behind the ‘I Love My Jab’ is making our economic frontliners safe and ensuring that our merchants have their vaccines for their protection as they go to work and serve customers every day.”
This vaccination campaign of Ever Mall is supported by Alvin Lao, president of D&L Industries, together with Lito Rivera, operations head for their assistance with the logistics, and the Red Cross Philippines through Janice Melody Adolfo RN (officer in charge) for providing the medical team for the vaccination.
The #EVERSafeShopping at Ever Mall is assured by the QC government-issued “Safety Seal” certificate. The Safety Seal serves as a “badge of honor” of business establishments informing the public that they are compliant with the minimum health and safety protocols required by the Inter-Agency Task Force.
“With more jabs on the arms of citizens, there is more hope that we could transition out of this phase of the pandemic. We’re all in this together, and Ever Mall is here to be a responsible member of the community and do our best to help our nation rise once again,” Santos said.
